The Spring 2016 jewellery study tour concluded successfully in London on 18th April. At this trip, the delegates spent a week of happy time together in London, studied the jewellery history in the past 600 years, visited leading British jewellery designer studios, as well as many international leading fine jewellery brands, such as Van Cleef & Arpels and Bulgari. They also had a privilege of attending the masterclass led by international renowned Faberge authority Dr. Geza von Habsburg, who flu from New York especially for this event. Furthermore, delegates attended Bonhams’ jewellery auction on 13th April and won nearly 30 pieces of glamorous jewels home.  The trip has also attracted the attention of BA High Life magazine and a feature story entitled ‘Chinese Auction Holiday’ will be released on its summer issue.

Prestige Arts Club is going to welcome a new group of Chinese attendees for its Spring 2016 jewellery study tour in London. The Spring programme will run between 11th - 18th April, and consists lectures at the V&A by a leading European jewellery historian, as well as jewellery brands and market visits. Apart from retaining our most successful curriculum from Autumn 2015, we have also added some new elements to make our programme even more exciting.

One of the highlights will be visiting  the world renowned Van Cleef & Arpels Boutique in London’s New Bond Street. The House which is renowned globally for its Serti Mysterieux  setting invented in 1933, has been a long established fine jewellery brands in the world.  

Another unmissable experience will be attending the fine jewellery auction at the UK’s No.1 jewellery auctioneer Bonham’s.  The auction house opened its doors in 1793 and it is one of the world's oldest and biggest auctioneers in arts and antiques. The Chinese attendees will hopefully be thrilled by viewing over 700 pieces of fine and antique jewellery lots in a week’s time, and have opportunities of buying them at the auction.

Prestige Arts collaborated with Creative City Shanghai to joint-promote the second London jewellery programme that to be held in London in April 2016. Same as 2015, the programme will only provide 16 places for jewellery executives and buyers and has been booked up quickly. Apart from the repeat programme, Prestige Arts has collaborated with the UK’s leading fine jewellery trend forecasting agency Adorn Insights, to provide a bespoke 2-day intense briefing session for the Chinese jewellers in China, in the hope to bring the latest international trends in colour, metal, gemstones and designs to the Chinese jewellery industry.

Prestige Arts has officially partnered with Shanghai Promotion Centre for City of Design (SPCCD) and became its UK training partner. Four senior management delegates from SPCCD and Shanghai Gems & Jade Exchange visited Prestige Arts London office on 14th December. Together, we explored the 2016 training plans and how to deepen the Shanghai-London jewellery industry collaboration, improve the creativity of Shanghai local jewellery designers.SPCCD is a Shanghai governmental organisation set up in 2010 to respond to UNESCO’s Creative Cities: Shanghai initiative. SPCCD’s mission is to support the creative industry development in Shanghai region, and to encourage Shanghai local creative businesses’ international collaboration. So far, SPCCD has signed two governmental MOUs with the UK and Italy.

The first Prestige Arts Education organised ‘European Luxury Jewellery London Odyssey’ programme had successfully concluded in London on 2nd October. The 16 attendees from all cross China gathered in London and spent together an intense yet fruitful 9 days. The 16 attendees are all on an executive level, including the founder of well-known jeweller Yangzi Jewellery and the GM of large high-street jewellery chain King Tai Fok among others. 93% of attendees rated the programme ‘very satisfied’ and 100% of them would ‘definitely recommend’ or ‘highly likely to recommend’ the course to others. ‘The course far exceeded my expectations’, said Sandy Chen, an former Alibaba senior Executive turned jewellery collector and buyer,  ‘I originally just wanted to meet a group of like-minded people, but the course delivered much more and it was truly excellent.’

Wishes coming true! Following 2014’s successful contemporary art collector’s programme, after months of discussion with Victoria and Albert Museum, jewellery experts and British leading jewellery brands, Prestige Arts Club is pleased to announce the first high-level jewellery programme is to be delivered in London in September 2015. This 9-day tailor made programme is designed especially for the Chinese jewellery industry delegates and jewellery collectors. The intense programme will involve an in-depth study on European jewellery history and the design movements led by the renowned V&A jewellery historian, follows company visits to leading jewellery brands, as well as an opportunity of meeting 90 established jewellery designers at the Goldsmith Fair. The programme also provides handling sessions collaborated with the UK’s largest jewellery auctioneer Bonhams’.Since the opening of course booking on 15th June 2015, the programme received over-whelming responses in China. We filled all 16 places within a short 5-week attendee recruitment, and a separate waiting list.
