This 12-day London study tour was designed specifically for experienced contemporary art collectors and galleriers. The programme was delivered around Frieze Art Fair, where 9 Chinese attendees travelled to London, learning and experiencing the vibrant London contemporary art scene. They studied Modern Art History at the renowned Central St. Martin’s College of Arts and Design, visited the most important museums and galleries in London under the guidance of art specialists. In addition, they had opportunities to closely observe art insights by visiting leading contemporary art organisations including Gasworks, Artquest etc. Lastly, they spent an interesting day exploring Peckham’s art district and artists’ studios. At the end of the programme, attendees successfully gained insights of contemporary art market, its trend, artists’ practices, as well as the skill to assess contemporary arts practice from a historical perspective.

Lantao Culture is a leading professional interior design training company based in Beijing, it has global collaboration with international leading institutions. We co-designed and delivered Lantao’s first interior design study tour in London. The 10-day study tour consisted of lectures at Chelsea College of Arts and Design, and industry visits to leading interior and architecture design agencies and museums. Each delegate had opportunities asking questions they concerned, and share industry insights with award winning designers such as Neil Hogan. In the end, the group also explored unique London restaurants and boutique hotels that well demonstrated the power of interior design.

This five-day Exective Education programme was in collaboration with China’s leading business school CKGSB and University of the Arts London (UAL). As part of CKGSB’s Creative Industry Executive Education programme, the 45 attendees of the course were mainly Chinese entrepreneurs who are already operating in the creative industries, or financiers that are investing in creative businesses. The intense day-course comprises a visit to world leading auctioneer Bonhams’, a presentation of highlighted art market trends in contemporary arts, wine, vintage cars, old masters paintings, followed by gallery tours and museum visits led by specialists. At the end of the course, the attendees gained the knowledge of the current art market hot spots, tips of buying art works, and learnt the behind-the-scenes story of museum collections.
